Hours and Admission
Phipps is open daily from 9:30 am to 5 pm and until 10 pm on Friday. We are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

A tour of the Conseravatory will take approximately 90 minutes so please plan to arrive in plenty of time to complete your visit before the closing times noted above.

Members: Free

Adults: $10

Seniors (62 and older): $9

Students with a valid ID: $9

Children 2-18: $7

Children under 2: Free

You may purchase general admission tickets when you arrive at Phipps or you may purchase them online in advance.  Tickets purchased online are valid only for the date selected and can be used only once on that date.  Tickets purchased in advance may be exchanged for another date or canceled at least one day in advance of the date selected.  To exchange or cancel tickets, call 412-622-6915 between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm.

Photography

Phipps Conservatory encourages photography and the use of video cameras for personal use. Tripods are not permitted except for members (see below).  Commercial photography requires prior approval and may require a fee.  Commercial photography includes, but is not limited to wedding photography, professional portraits, modeling, media, and images for resale in any form. Contact Rentals at 412-622-6914 x6401 to schedule wedding and portrait photographs. Please direct all other inquiries to Marketing at 412-441-4442 x3804.

Members may use a tripod on Sunday mornings from 9:30 until 11 am. Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday are excluded. Reservations are required four days in advance by e-mailing: tickets@phipps.conservatory.org.

Attire

Phipps can be very warm during the summer months and some rooms may be cool during the winter.  Visitors are encouraged to dress in layers year-round and make use of the lockers in the Welcome Center when necessary.

Most of the walkways at Phipps are concrete or stone.  Some may be uneven and slippery when wet.  Comfortable, slip-resistant shoes are recommended for your safety and enjoyment.
