Phipps is seeking a full-time Climate Toolkit Manager to act as a liaison and change agent to museums, gardens and zoos worldwide, connecting institutions who seek to aggressively address climate change and share, mentor and learn from one another. The Climate Toolkit Manager will serve as a catalyst for climate action in others, utilizing the Toolkit and its resources to help institutions reach their climate goals and inspire their stakeholders to do the same. Currently, the Climate Toolkit (https://climatetoolkit.org/) embraces thirty-two goals for addressing climate change within the categories of energy, food service, transportation, plastics, landscapes and horticulture, investments, visitors and research.
Principal responsibilities will be to manage all areas of The Climate Toolkit project, including coordination and production of quarterly virtual webinars, creation and maintenance of website content and e-blast communications, Listserv discussion moderation, coordination of interorganizational mentorship programs, interaction with participating institutions to aid short term goal management and encourage new pursuits, and other items as needed.
The ideal candidate has experience with sustainable programs management and institutional best practices for addressing climate change and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. sustainable development, sustainability programs).
