The South Conservatory (then known as the Economic Room) made its debut in this year's chrysanthemum show as the first expansion to Phipps' original glasshouse in Schenley Park. The colorful array of chrysanthemums in this year's sloping displays was accentuated by the recent additions of rubber trees, cacti, banana plants and other new specimens.
