Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens’ certificate programs offer an extensive course of study for those who wish to work toward an advanced level within a continuing education format. There is no separate enrollment for the certificate programs. Students simply sign up for classes, and, starting with the first one, we will begin keeping records of any courses that are completed.
The following certificate programs are currently offered by Phipps:
- Sustainable Horticulture
- Landscape and Garden Design
- Native Plant Landscapes
- Floral Design
- Botanical Art and Illustration
For certificate completion, attendance at all class sessions is imperative. Students may attend missed sessions the next time a class is offered; however, they are responsible for all material fees unless Phipps is notified of planned absences 24 hours before the class. A certificate will not be issued until all sessions are completed, except in cases where instructor permission is granted. All students must register for classes through Phipps Garden Center.
