Select Wednesdays, Oct. 21 – Feb. 3; 6 – 8:30 p.m.

Registration open only to physicians

Dr. Michelle Thompson

Join Dr. Michelle Thompson, D.O., an integrative and lifestyle family medicine physician and Jennifer Berliner, M.D., a cardiologist and the co-chair of Physician THRIVE, the UPMC physician well-being initiative, for an evening of camaraderie, learning nutrition and healthy lifestyle tips. This opportunity is jointly funded by the Beckwith Institute COVID-19 Relief Grant and UPMC Physician THRIVE.

In collaboration with Phipps’ Botany Hall Kitchen, participants will learn about the benefits of a plant-based diet while cooking a whole food plant-based recipe at this virtual cooking class. Upon sign up, you will receive an ingredient list so that you can follow along at home while sipping on your favorite beverage and interacting with our chef, dietitians and your peers.

Physician wellness starts with you and we want to help you incorporate stress reduction techniques to help you become your own best healer. Dr. Thompson will educate you and answer questions about how adopting this plant-based lifestyle medicine program can help you and your patients take charge of your health one bite at a time. Be prepared for a fun-filled experience learning to halt or even reverse disease with your fork as your primary tool.

Materials Lists will be sent out once registered by Phipps team. This list includes the grocery list, substitutions, the recipe and zoom information for the class. Contact information for Tess will be included for any follow up questions.
