The Regenerative Contractor: Integrating Design, Ecology, and Earth Repair | Erik Ohlsen
Professional Land care is a land use industry primed to become a beneficial force for regenerating ecosystems and communities. Traditional landscaping treats nature as a product to control and suppress; regenerative design unleashes it as an engine of ecosystem repair. This talk provides land care professionals with a field-tested framework for taking complex ecological concepts and turning them into buildable, high-value projects, and companies. Explore the integration of reading land, biological soil building, microclimate management, and water management into seamless design-build workflows. Elevate your practice, lead the ecological evolution in land care, and build a high-performance business that actively repairs watersheds and restores biodiversity.

Right Plant, Right Place, Right Process | Dr. Ryan Gott
Landscape and other plant industry professionals understand perhaps better than anyone the need to match plants with the right growing conditions in which they thrive. We will examine some of the ecological and evolutionary principles that help explain why “Right Plant, Right Place” works. We will then expand on the same principles to explore how adding in the right process can create ecologically minded landscapes.
