March 20 – April 11, 1948

Nine display rooms were filled with 25 varieties of spring flowers for this year’s show, which boasted four-foot-tall Easter lilies and an English garden with hand-thatched cottages. In a unique addition, the Serpentine Room’s tulip beds hosted expressive, angular sculptures by W. Glen Davis and Robert Lepper of the Abstract Group of Pittsburgh.
