This year’s Fall Flower Show placed a special emphasis on the cultured history and artful techniques of growing kiku-no-hana, or kiku, the Japanese name for chrysanthemum. The exhibit showcased the unique ways the blooms are traditionally grown in Japanese culture through displays accentuated by glowing metal lanterns, Japanese wagasa umbrellas, and a fleet of oversized origami peace cranes.
