Start your Sunday with intention and peace at Phipps' Rooted in Presence: A Mindfulness Meditation Series! Designed for all skill levels, each session invites you to step away from the week’s noise and reconnect with your breath, body and the living beauty around you.
Two Ways to Join Us
Option 1:
Guided Meditation
10 – 11 a.m.
Guided by an experienced meditation facilitator, you will:
- Explore gentle breathing and mindfulness techniques to support calm and clarity.
- Cultivate present-moment awareness through seated and optional movement-based practices.
- Enjoy a brief reflection inspired by nature’s rhythms and the seasonal environment of the Conservatory.
- Listen to the gentle tones of singing bowls to restore your inner balance.
Important notes:
- Participants may request a chair upon registration; bringing a mat or a cushion is recommended if you prefer to sit on the ground.
- Bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated.
- March 15 will be a walking meditation; please take your party's mobility needs into consideration.
- Guided meditation is free with Conservatory admission, but space is limited and must be booked in advance; to participate, select a date and book your tickets in advance using the links below.

Option 2:
Self-Guided Meditation
9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
By using one of our guided meditation cards (available in print and digital copies in our Welcome Center), you can tour the Conservatory at your own pace with stopping points for reflection and breathing exercises as soothing music fills the glasshouse.
Meditation cards and music playback will be available from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. To pursue self-guided meditation, simply reserve a regular admission ticket for your preferred date and book your visit anywhere within the 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. time window.

Whether you’re looking to deepen your meditation practice or simply find a quiet moment to ground yourself before the week begins, this series blends mindful practice with the restorative power of nature.
This event is free with regular Conservatory admission. Members and children under 2 are free.
About The Guided Meditation Instructor
Tisha Samuels, E-CYT 500 and owner of Shanti Mindfulness Center, has over a decade of experience teaching yoga with advanced training and focus that includes meditation, pranayama (breathwork), mindful movement and ayurveda. This series offers a journey into the world of meditation, suitable for everyone from beginners to seasoned practitioners. Each session will be different and will incorporate a variety of techniques. Whether you're looking to reduce stress, enhance focus, or simply find a greater sense of peace and well-being, this series is designed to support your personal growth and deepen your connection to the present moment.
