Jazz in the Garden

Join Phipps for a summer series of smooth jazz music set against a gorgeous botanical backdrop!
This summer, Phipps is offering Jazz in the Garden performances from July through September in our Outdoor Garden! Enjoy nights of smooth music set against a gorgeous botanical backdrop with some of Pittsburgh's most talented Jazz ensembles. Roger Humphries, Tony Campbell and Hugo Cruz and the Caminos will bring a wide range of entertaining jazz sets to our beautiful outdoor garden all summer long. Plus, guests will have the option to pre-purchase delicious boxed snacks to enjoy during the performance and have access to a cashless (credit card only) bar. Read on to learn more!
Ticket prices for this year's Jazz in the Garden events are as follows:
General Admission
$45 members* | $50 nonmembers
Includes a seat in the Outdoor Garden. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis. Guests are not permitted to bring their own seats to Jazz in the Garden.
Boxed Snack Add-On
$25 for Option One | $20 for Option Two
*NOTE: Member discounts do not apply to the boxed snack add-ons, only to tickets. Orders for boxed snack add-ons must be placed no later than 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 3 for the Sept. 17 performance. This date also serve as the deadlines for refundable ticket cancellations; tickets canceled after these dates are not eligible for refunds. All tickets are at the General Admission ticket level. There will be no other ticket levels available for this event. This event will be held rain or shine.*
Valet will be available during this event and costs $10 for members and $15 for nonmembers.
Boxed Snack Add-On Options
Option One
$25 | Antipasti, Charcuterie, Cheese and Toast | Grilled vegetables, sliced meats and domestic cheeses, mustard and toast
Option Two
$20 | Fiesta Dips and Chips | Blackbean corn salsa, guacamole, grilled pineapple, pico and tortilla chips
About the Musicians:
Hugo Cruz and the Caminos | Thurs., Sept. 17
Hugo Alexander Cruz Machado is a Cuban-born, award-winning, drummer and composer who has performed internationally, including South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Mexico, Chile, Venezuela, and the United States. Hugo is the leader of the jazz fusion music group Caminos, who have made appearances at Fábrica de Artes in Havana, Cuba, Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC, Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival 2019, Carnegie Museum of Art, City of Asylum, Thunderbird Cafe and Music Hall, Westylvania Jazz and Blues Festival, and the Monroeville Jazz Festival, among many others.
