Fall Flower Show: Alice’s Adventures in Autumn

Enjoy vibrant chrysanthemum displays inspired by Alice in Wonderland at Phipps' Fall Flower Show!
With the blockbuster Summer Show, Alice in Wonderland-themed displays are here to stay through the fall! Opening Sat., Oct. 10, Fall Flower Show: Alice’ Adventures in Autumn combines the whimsy of Phipps’ unique take of Lewis Caroll’s story with our stunning chrysanthemums — and a few spooky surprises!
You'll see all your favorite characters from the book amongst expertly grown chrysanthemums in endless shapes, colors and sizes. Phipps has been creating chrysanthemum-themed seasonal shows since 1894, making its Fall Flower Show the longest running in the nation and a Pittsburgh tradition that you can't experience anywhere else!
Exhibit Features
- Gaze upon the Cheshire Cat’s tree in Palm Court, now covered in cobwebs, as it bursts with vibrant yellow cascading mums
- See an amazing autumnal wreath of pampas grass, wheat, leaves and gourds in the Victoria Room
- Delight at the East Room as the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party transforms into a festive fall feast while clever crows fly above
- Enjoy marvelous mums in classic shades of orange, red and yellow in the Broderie Room

The growth and care of Phipps’ spectacular chrysanthemum displays are advanced and lengthy, requiring a full year of horticultural planning, growing and training expertise to bring these elegant blooms to you each fall.
