Nov. 8 – 30, 1986

This year, Phipps explored the rich history of the chrysanthemum in China — where the flower was first cultivated as far back as 15th century B.C. — with displays including a modern Chinese-style garden, a 90-foot wood and cloth dragon, and numerous other artifacts.
