Support Local Nurseries

To help with your spring gardening projects, we have researched some local nurseries to learn how you can purchase plants during this time. The nurseries listed below has joined Phipps to help and educate guests on creating a garden dedicated to sustainable plants and landcare. This information is accurate as of Tues., April 14. Regulations change, so be sure to contact your nursery directly before making plans. 

List of Nurseries:

  • Best Feeds and Garden Center – OPEN, with limited hours
  • Chapon's Greenhouse and Supply – OPEN, with adjusted hours
    Chapon’s is open and ready for business. You can shop the nursery or call ahead with an order for pickup or delivery. Expect a small fee for delivery.
  • Hahn Nursery – CLOSED, but opening soon
    Hahn Nursery plans to offer new purchasing and pick up options as well as home deliveries soon. Keep up to date with changes by following them on Facebook: www.facebook.com/Hahn.Nursery/.
  • Hess' Landscape Nursery – CLOSED – Hess’ Nursery is no longer open for retail sales
    *This nursery is closed and will no longer be selling plants. They do offer landscaping and maintenance services and will continue to provide those services. Call to schedule an appointment.
  • Michael Brothers Nursery – OPEN, for prearranged orders and pick or delivery
    Visit Michael Brothers Nursery’s website for their extensive plant list and call or email to place your order. They will schedule a time for you to come pick up your plants or you can make arrangements for delivery (there will be a fee.)
  • Penn Hills Lawn and Garden Center – CLOSED, but selling Spring Bonds at 25% off
    Penn Hills Lawn and Garden Center will be closed for a while, but you can still support their work and get a discount on future purchased by ordering Spring Bonds at their website. These Spring Bonds are a great deal. For the cost of $37.50, you will receive a bond to use later valuing $50. For $75, you receive a bond worth $100 on store product. See their website for exclusions.
  • Plumline Nursery – OPEN
    Plumline are able to take orders over the phone, by email and on Facebook. Non-contact delivery of bulk goods and plants are also available. Contact to make arrangements.
  • Quality Gardens – OPEN for curbside pickup and home delivery
    Quality Gardens are accepting phone orders and can organize curbside pickup or home delivery of all available plant stock and merchandise.
  • Soergel's Orchards – OPEN with delivery and curbside pickup
    Visit the Soergel’s website for information about plant availability. To place an order and arrange pickup or delivery, email SoergelGardenCenter@gmail.com.
