Celebrate the Life Cycle of Butterflies in the Outdoor Garden!

The prettiest pollinators have returned to Phipps this summer! On Fri., Aug. 1, families are invited to explore the amazing life cycle of butterflies with fun outdoor activities in our Outdoor Garden! Join in on fun lawn games, create a butterfly themed craft, learn about butterflies and their favorite plants, dance like a butterfly and so much more! Plus, guests will be able to experience the beauty of pollinators with our amazing Butterfly Forest and see the beautiful blooms they love in the Summer Flower Show: Jungle Quest.

Butterfly Lawn Games! 
Enjoy a nice game of ring toss, cornhole and more! 

Butterfly Life Cycle Craft! 
Learn about the life cycle of a butterfly with an adorable craft bracelet! 

Stay Cool Station! 
Recharge at our water and popiscle station! 

Where Do The Monarchs Go? 
Find out about the Monarch's journey through the seasons! 

Pollination Station Match Up
Try your luck at this fun card game to match up the butterfly with its host plant!

Explore Butterfly Forest | 5:30 and 6:15 p.m. 
Journey into Butterfly Forest with our teen ambassadors to see our pretty pollinators flutter around in our Stove Room! 

Story Time and Butterfly Dance Party | 5:45 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. 
Join our friends from Playnotes to listen to a butterfly themed story and finish off the night with a pollinator dance party!

Take a Walk with a Nature Ranger | 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. 
Meet with IPM Manager Brailey Burke to tour the Outdoor Garden Pollination Stations and explore the amazing world of butterflies. 

Butterfly Mural
Families can add their own contribution to our butterfly mural to end the night after their tour! 

This event is free with regular Conservatory admission, and guests are welcome to plan their arrivals at any time before or during event hours. Members and children under 2 are free.
